Mill Creek Pedestrian Bridges
The City of Edmonton is currently undertaking an assessment as part of the rehabilitation of five pedestrian bridges in Mill Creek Ravine. These bridges are located between 76 Avenue to the north, 89 Street to the east, and 91 Street to the west.
Three of the bridges are trestle bridges (B029, B032, B033) built by the Edmonton, Yukon and Pacific Railway line, which provided passenger and freight services between Edmonton and Strathcona in the early 20th century. Built in 1902, the line followed the Mill Creek Ravine then crossed the North Saskatchewan River over the Low Level Bridge.
Based on the findings of the assessment, the City will proceed with a rehabilitation of the bridges.
